Set Mandatory Tax % for Informal Products
Mandatory tax setting allows you to automatically assign a percentage for tax purchases to informally created products.
To set this amount, use the following steps:
-
Navigate to [Settings] [Departments] [Business Settings]
-
Then check the 'Mandatory Tax on Informal Products' box and put in your desired tax percent as a whole number, i.e. 10 for 10%
Navigate to [Settings] → [Departments] → [Business Settings]
Then check the 'Mandatory Tax on Informal Products' box and put in your desired tax percent as a whole number, i.e. 10 for 10%
When an invoice is manually created against a purchase order and tax is blank, the entered figure will be created as a tax percentage per line item.
Note - If paperless invoices are used, the tax assigned to the invoice lines will override this setting.
