How do I split packages for Inventory?

Find out how to automatically split your products into individual items in inventory.

Purchase Plus has the capability to automatically split your packages when receiving them into an Inventory Stock Location. This is useful if you want to order, for example, a box of wine from a Supplier, but then transfer them individually between your Stock Locations in Inventory.

To do this, use the following steps:

  1. Navigate to [Inventory] - [Settings] - [Inventory Holders].

  2. Here you will see whether the 'Always Split Packages?' option has been enabled or not. The name of your hotel/property organisation should be listed here.

  3. You can change whether this is enabled or disabled for your property by clicking on the [Edit] button.

  4. From the pop-up, either tick or untick the 'always split packages?' option and click [Update].

Navigate to [Inventory] - [Settings] - [Inventory Holders].

Now, items should be split as they are received into the Stock Locations in Inventory.

Note - This does not work for all different types of pack sizes. Recipes can be used if needed for a specific amount of an item.
